Teens Go Green Book Cover Design Contest

Orange Avenue Publishing/Zest Books is sponsoring a cover design contest for the upcoming book, 47 Things Teens Can Do For The Environment. Author Lexi Petronis provides 47 fun and accessible ways to empower green teens, and you can design the covert!  A real way to show all your colors, and get involved in the creative process.  47 Things will be distributed nationally in stores and online. The winner will be credited in the book as the cover designer and will also receive a new Flip Video Camcorder (to record all the excitement!).

Particulars

•Book Title: 47 Things Teens Can Do For The Environment

•Book size: 6.5 x 6.5

•Who can enter: Any teen between the ages of 13-19

•Deadline: March 6

•The winning cover will be chosen by a panel of judges, and the creator will be notified by phone and/or email.

Specifics

1. The book title must be very easy to read. Make sure the title is very visible and large enough to be seen on a book shelf from 1-3 feet away.

2. The book cover must be the size indicated above: 6.5 x 6.5

3. ALL FINAL ENTRIES MUST BE EMAILED NO LATER THAN MARCH 6, 2008 TO:

4. The design can be created in any medium either by hand or on the computer. If created by hand, entries must be scanned. All entries must be smaller than 2 megs.

5. Please save all original artwork you use for the design as well as any paper versions of the digital cover you send us. 

6. Do not use images from magazines or any other printed materials that have already been published.

7. Do not use any images that show logos, product names, or name brands.

8. All entries must be sent with a full information sheet containing your name, your age, email address and phone number. If this information is not supplied with your entry, your entry will not be considered.

9. You may use some or all of the illustrations provided that will appear on the interior of the book.  Download Here ( pdf,eps, jpeg )

10. Designs should reflect the environmental subject matter and go well with the style of the illustrations on the interior of the book.

11. Designs can be in any color or a combination of colors.
